  • The Program 和 Area Review Process (PAR) at Chabot is a three-year comprehensive 和年度 审查 规划 process, which is designed to support the quality 和 growth of the college as aligned with the Educational Master Plan 和 College Mission.
    • 项目 & 地区(e.g., academic, service 和 administrative) 审查 the effectiveness of their areas based on data.
    • Based on this analysis, programs 和 areas 计划 (和 request resources) for the upcoming PAR cycle.
  • The three-year 审查 和 规划 process comprises:
    • YEAR 1: Comprehensive Review 和 规划 Year (e.g., Fall 2021 PARs are submitted to 计划 for 22-23, 23-24 & 24-25)
    • YEAR 2: Annual Update (e.g., Fall 2022 PARs are submitted to update 计划s for 23-24 & 24-25)
    • YEAR 3: Annual Update (e.g., Fall 2023 PARs are submitted to update 计划s for 2024-25)
      • Each year, regardless of which "year" we are in, areas 和 disciplines will be asked to project their new needs 和 request resources for three years out. Projecting our resource needs three years out facilitiates better 规划 和 预算. 
  • Reviews are the foundation for area, discipline, division, college 规划 和 预算.
    • The PAR committee develops synthesis statements based on submitted PARs to give to the 规划 和 Resource Allocation 委员会 (PRAC).
    • PRAC distributes the PAR synthesis statement, any additional recommendations from PRAC 和 the resource 和 personnel requests to the related shared governance committees 和 参议院 (e.g., IST, FIT, SASE, Classified Senate, 教师 Senate, etc.).
    • Funding recommendations are made by select shared governance committees, PRAC, 参议院
    • Senior leadership, including the College President, base funding decisions on these recommendations.
